'Pokémon GO' IV Calculator guide: How to use IV Calculator to know which Pokémon has higher stats
"Pokémon GO" gamers continue to be in the search for guides and techniques to play the game better and be on top. One of the things that gamers should be looking at is the use of the "Pokémon GO" IV Calculator which is a new tool in the game's world.
As detailed in IGN's report, the game consists of three hidden stats or individual values (IV). Through these hidden stats, gamers will be able to tell how strong their Pokémon is during gym battles. Basically, IV is essentially the creature's statistics. Each creature comes with a specific set of values in terms of strength, defense, and stamina.

A Pokémon's IV is important since this is what makes a Pokémon unique and special. Gamers then use the IV Calculator, which is a tool for advanced Pokémon trainers, as it will give them a guide in determining the IV of their creatures.
The calculator does so by entering the combat power (CP), hit points (HP) and the amount of Stardust that is required to power them up.
Gamers can access the said tool in the PokéAssistant website. It's noted on the site that the "powered" field should be filled in as "no" if the trainer has yet to power up the creature. It's also said that the IV categories will evolve over time. This is due to the mechanic that each creature specializes in a diverse variant.
To be able to utilize the calculator, trainers should make sure that the creature they are trying to evaluate is newly caught or hatched. They must have no effort values (EVs) yet. Players who make use of the tool with creatures that have been trained for a while already and has not tracked the EVs will not work properly.
Gamers can also refine results and narrow down the Pokémon by leveling it up or evolving it. To do this, they will need to submit new details to the IV Calculator.
A new "Refine" button will appear, and trainers can opt to power-up or evolve. They can then check its new CP, HP, and Dust Prices. After that, they can key in new details before clicking the "Refine" button.
