'Prison Break' revival news, spoilers, and release: Star talk about rekindling romance

After years of waiting for "Prison Break," fans are excited to see the return of the well-loved series.

"Prison Break" ended with its fourth season back in 2009. However, it was previously announced that the series will be revived in the coming year, which will showcase the same characters as before.

Because of this, many fans are anticipating the return of Michael Scofield, played by Wentworth Miller. Most importantly, viewers are waiting to know what will happen between Michael and Sara Tancredi, played by Sarah Wayne Callies.

The series ended previously with Michael's supposed death, which is why many are wondering as to what will become of the relationship. The stars teased that though Sara has moved on and remarried for the sake of her child, she still holds a special place in her heart for Michael. With that, there is a lot of excitement regarding how their relationship will progress.

Though there has yet to be news on the matter, Miller was able to share some insight about what to expect in the revival. He said, "I can tell you it's seven years later, and you can expect a lot more of the same things that you loved first time around. And it will also be quite different as the characters have changed, so my character in particular is no longer just a hero - he's a few other things as well. I think the fans will get a kick out of it."

In addition, he explained that they worked really hard in order to make fans happy about the reboot. He said, "We wanted to add to what already exists, which is what a lot of people love and appreciate. We don't want to add something what's not of equal value and let anyone down. So we worked really hard."

"Prison Break" season 5 is expected to release sometime next year.
