'Rake' season 4 spoilers: What to expect in finale episode

"Rake" will be concluding its fourth season on Thursday, July 7, and fans can't wait to find out what will happen to the main characters of the show.
In the series' upcoming eighth episode, Cleaver (Richard Roxburgh) considers a change in his career, but David (Matt Day) tries to thwart his plans. Cleaver is determined to win back his ex-wife Wendy (Caroline Brazier) from Jack (Tasma Walton), but Jack is planning to get Sydney's most colorful barrister out of Wendy's life for good. In the meantime, Fuzz (Keegan Joyce) has some surprising news to reveal.
According to Australian Television Information, the finale will have Cleaver turning over a new leaf this time, with Cleaver reforming in order to get Wendy back. Things start looking up for Cleaver, but it turns out that with these perks, Cleaver will have to be away from Wendy (which is a good thing for Jack).
David will run for the senate as a Green, and when Wendy tells Cleaver that she might vote for David, Cleaver will start espousing his ideals.
Nicole (Kate Box) is left in shambles after Bevan's (Ewan Leslie) betrayal, and Cleaver, claiming to be a changed man, will offer to help Barney and get him back together with his ex-wife.
Cleaver, wanting to make Wendy happy, tells her that someone has made a good offer for her house, but Fuzz will see this as another doomed plan by his father. He then hands Cleaver the money that he earned with his app developing business. This will make Cleaver realize that he is not ready yet to care for Wendy, so he will set off on a new plan to make things right.
David will come to a grim realization about his competition with Cleaver, and Fuzz will drop some astonishing news.
"Rake" has been getting glorious praise from fans and currently has an 8.7 score on IMDb. The Australian comedy drama has been on air since 2010. It even garnered an American adaptation with Greg Kinnear as the lead, although it only ran for one.
