'Rick and Morty' season 3 release date, spoilers news 2016: Concept art hints plot; to be released later this year

Adult animated science fiction sitcom "Rick and Morty" will be returning to the small screen soon for its season 3. And to bring the hype up further, spoilers and teasers have surfaced ahead of time giving fans a sneak peek of what they can expect in the upcoming season.
According to reports, Adult Swim's cartoon series will start airing its third season sometime later this year. This means that previous rumor saying the show will premiere this August is not accurate. There is still no specific date of release but fans can expect it to hit televisions soon.
Concept art has been released through the show's official Twitter account, and it's speculated to be part of the season premiere. Fans may recall that in the season 2 finale, Rick finally turned in himself to the Galactic Federation. With his imprisonment, the Earth got inducted into the Federation. This will cause some major shifts to happen in the show, and season 3 may be getting a different feel when it returns.
In one of the released concept images, it showed Morty's garage looking clean and spotless. Gone is the messy and wacky garage laboratory of Rick which indicated that the premiere episode will be opening with Rick still stuck with the authorities. And it seems like it will show that he has been in there long enough for Morty, Summer, Beth, and Jerry to clear out the garage.
Meanwhile, the other concept art showed an image of a so-called Gromflamite Prison General, a character in the show that is teased to be someone that the viewers will dislike. It was not specified, but it seems this new character is going to be an antagonist that Rick and Morty will be dealing with.
Fans will have to stay tuned for more updates on the new "Rick and Morty" season. It's been delayed but only because creators Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon and the whole team are working carefully with all the episodes in order to give fans a new installment that will be as interesting and fun as it has always been.
