Samsung Galaxy A9 (2017) release date, specs rumors: Phone may include 4 GB of RAM, 6-inch display

Samsung is in the process of updating its smartphone lines and one of them is the Galaxy A series. After confirming Galaxy A3 (2017), Galaxy A5 (2017) and Galaxy A7 (2017), the South Korean tech giant is rumored to release the Samsung Galaxy A9 (2017).
According to reports, the Galaxy A9 (2017) is set to come out soon and is going to be the successor and an updated version of the recently released A9 (2016) model and A9 Pro (2016). The news first came out from the Chinese social networking site Weibo which said that the company is already busy at work.
However, apart from the model number which is SM-A9200, nothing much is revealed about the purported device. Details are still kept under wraps so those who are interested to find out more will have to watch out for further information.
For now, fans will have to rely on rumors. The Samsung Galaxy A9 (2017) is said to come with either 3 or 4 GB of RAM paired with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor. The Galaxy A9 (2016) also carried the same chipset so this is not far from possible.
It's also speculated to sport a 6-inch Super AMOLED display. Its internal storage can accommodate 32 GB of data and it can be expanded further with a microSD card slot. It's also expected to feature a 13-megapixel primary camera and 8-megapixel secondary camera just like its predecessor. With that being said, the 2017 model may also be getting the 2016 variant's other features like the LED flash and autofocus.
Moreover, the device is going to be LTE-ready and may come with HSPA, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi and USB Type-C connectivity. It could be powered with a 4,000mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charging capabilities. A fingerprint scanner is also expected.
As of now, nothing has been confirmed so it's best to take these rumors with a pinch of salt. If the news regarding the device is legit, it is expected to surface in benchmark websites soon.
