Samsung Galaxy Note 6 specs news 2016: Phablet to boast 256 GB RAM and 4200 mAh battery, according to new leak

More information about the specs of the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 was dished out in a brand new leak. The details were spotted in a post on Chinese social media platform Weibo, suggesting that Samsung is going even bigger on the phablet.
According to the leak, the handset lugs a monstrous storage worth 256 GB. That's double of what majority of today's premier flagships can offer.
In fact, many of the smartphones available right now won't even go beyond 64 GB. In short, the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 will be onto computer-level storage if this report is accurate.
The Snapdragon 823 chipset, Qualcomm's next-generation release, is said to provide the processing power for the Samsung Galaxy Note 6. The device was previously rumored to boast 6 GB random access memory (RAM) too, so the handset has the hardware side of things covered.
The leak also states that the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 will be furnished with an enormous 4,200 mAh battery, which adds almost half of what the Note 5 has. This should cater to the phablet's slightly bigger 5.8in Quad HD display, which will use up a good portion of the juice.
SamMobile recently confirmed that the device will also feature a USB Type-C port, presumably the USB 3.1, the latest and most efficient version of the reversible connector.
If Samsung goes with the USB 3.1, then the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 should boast quick charging and HDMI or Display Port video support. The connector choice might also call for an all-new Gear VR made especially for the new Note model.
Lastly, the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 will reportedly be given an IP68 rating, the same one on the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge. This should make the phablet waterproof, dustproof, and overall durable.
If the leaks are correct, users will see all of these come to life this year around August or September.
