Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is close to its big unveiling, if the latest reports are to be believed. The much-awaited phablet is reportedly going to be released during an Unpacked event on August 2.

This is according to Russian tech insider Eldar Murtazin, who also said that the Samsung Galaxy Note 7's 3,600mAH battery will be powerful enough to last 20 hours of video playback at maximum brightness.

GSM Arena says that such capability is a bit hard to believe. The site says that the 4,000 mAH battery is more likely to churn out that kind of power.

If Samsung Galaxy Note 7 packs a battery smaller than the 4000mAH battery that takes to do such ambitious task, a20-hour video playback could be unlikely.

Meanwhile, another leakster Evan Blass, who has a reputable track record when it comes to upcoming mobiles, claimed on Twitter that the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will come with an iris scanner.

Unlike the fingerprint reader, which most flagships have, the iris scanner makes it a lot easier for users to access their device as they can unlock or lock with their eyes.

Blass also claims that the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will come with an IP68 rating, which means it will be dust and water resistant. It can withstand being submerged in up five feet of water for half an hour.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is also expected to sport a 5.7-inch Quad high-definition (HD) Super AMOLED display. The phablet will offer 64 GB of storage, which can be expanded with a microSD card.

The camera on the back will have 12 megapixels with dual-pixel phase-detection autofocus. On the front is a 5 MP selfie camera. In the past, the device was also said to come with a USB Type-C port.

If the rumors are accurate, the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will be unveiled on Aug. 2.
