'Street Fighter 5: A Shadow Falls' DLC news: Did the new story mode turn SF story into 'Fast and Furious'?

Players of the Capcom game "Street Fighter 5" have been happy to get the newly released story mode expansion for the game.
The story mode DLC, dubbed as "A Shadow Falls," now gives gamers single-player options for the game. It can be recalled that during its initial release earlier this year, "Street Fighter 5" made a lot of fans disappointed as the only available mode for playing was online. Players couldn't even have matches where they would simply battle against the computer, and this made them feel that the game was "incomplete." The "A Shadow Falls" DLC was supposed to remedy that problem by finally giving fans the story mode that they wanted so badly. Good news? Apparently not.
Geek.com has something to say about the new "Street Fighter" storyline. They claim that the DLC has turned the "Street Fighter" story into "Fast and Furious," meaning that the franchise is no longer in any chronological order. The outlet listed the games in chronological order this way:
- Street Fighter
- The Street Fighter Alpha Series
- The Street Fighter II Series
- The Street Fighter IV Series
- Street Fighter V
- The Street Fighter III Series
Apparently, "A Shadow Falls" ends where "Street Fighter III" starts, and it even teases the arrival of the boss for that game -- the almost nude, red-and-blue muscleman, Gill. There was even a mention of the Black Moons, the weapons that M. Bison was trying to develop back in that game in 1997.
For some fans, this is really no big gripe. "Street Fighter" is more known for its classic (pioneering) gameplay, and not for its "compelling" storyline. Hollywood has tried to inject some sensible story into these worlds when they try to turn them into movies, but it only proves how silly the lore could be sometimes.
Though the story mode for "Shadow Falls" turned out to be a bummer, players can still enjoy the numerous locations, characters, and costumes that came with the DLC. After all, there's still room for more DLCs to come in the future.
