'Supergirl' season 2 spoilers, plot news: Premiere title revealed, Martian Manhunter's return unlocks Jeremiah Danvers mystery

"Supergirl" season 2 may have been moved to The CW Television Network, but it is not leaving behind Martian Manhunter (David Harewood) behind.
The beloved superhero from Mars will make an appearance in the premiere of "Supergirl" season 2. Known as one of Supergirl's most trusty allies, it was only proper for him to be part of the action in the new season.
Harewood even had the honor of revealing the title of the highly-anticipated premiere episode of "Supergirl" season 2 – "The Adventures of Supergirl."
The title of the "Supergirl" season 2 premiere is a play to "The Adventures of Superman" (it even came with a very familiar logo design) that fans of classic Man of Steel goodness will definitely recognize in a heartbeat.
"The Adventures of Superman" was first a hit radio show back in the 40s. In the 50s, it was the name of the "Superman" show starring George Reeves. The title caught on in some "Superman" comic books as well.
The "Supergirl" season 2 premiere is believed to be titled that way because Kara Zor-El's mega popular cousin will be appearing on the show for the first time.
"Teen Wolf" alum Tyler Hoechlin will be the face of the iconic superhero, who has only been mentioned In
"Supergirl" season 1 and shown rather ambiguously when his presence was needed.
Meanwhile, returning to the subject of Martian Manhunter's return, "Supergirl" season 2 will shed some light on his vision about Kara's foster father Jeremiah Danvers (Dean Cain).
Needing no introduction to Superman fans, Cain himself actually played the role of the Man of Steel in the "Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman" series.
In his arc as Jeremiah in "Supergirl" season 2, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg urged fans in a chat with Entertainment Weekly to "question everything."
"Until you see Jeremiah Danvers walk through the front door, everything can be questioned," he continued.
"Supergirl" season 2 premieres Tuesday, Oct. 11 at 8 p.m. EDT on The CW.
