The return of "The Walking Dead" to the small screen for its seventh season is fast approaching, and fans are getting more excited especially since spoilers are floating everywhere.

The latest one to hit the rumor mill is about an alleged a scene which involves a mystery corpse found in a tidal pool. Recently it was revealed that the series, which is based on the comics by Robert Kirkman, moved to the coast to do some filming, including the scenes with the mystery corpse.

It is still unknown who among the characters will be found lifeless on the shore come season seven. Fans will have to wait for a while to find out who that character is since it's predicted that the scene might be shown near the midseason finale.

The upcoming season might have a water-based setting as implied by the fact that they are shooting along the beach at Jekyll Island in Georgia's Golden Isles.

It's actually something new to the fans, but it's not surprising since, in the comics, a community near the sea called Oceanside exists. And this could already be the point when producers will be introducing new locations from the original source.

In other news, fans are still freaking out over the new series' main villain. Replacing the evil that is The Governor is Negan who is found to be terrifying and malevolent. Jeffrey Dean Morgan, the actor who plays the character, even insists that Negan is tougher than The Governor.

He described The Governor as a "little wack" while his baseball bat-wielding character "got it together," and he believes this is Negan's edge over the previous villain.

Also, when asked who would win in a Negan and The Governor face off, Morgan responded: "It's not even close. I mean, I love David Morrissey, but he wouldn't stand a chance. Wouldn't stand a chance," he said. "I'd put Negan up against anybody. He's super smart and there's no filter, no fear," he added.

The seventh season of "The Walking Dead" will premiere on Sunday, Oct. 23, at 9 p.m. EDT on AMC.
