"The Walking Dead" star Norman Reedus is trying to appease fans of the AMC zombie apocalypse series while also building hype for the upcoming season 7 premiere.

According to the actor, while hordes of fans may have been angered by the major cliffhanger left at the end of the much-hyped season 6 finale back in April, the months-long wait to learn about the survivors' fates will be well worth it.

In a recent interview with TVLine, Reedus said that fans will be rewarded for their patience when the new season of the popular AMC series debuts in the fall.

"I will definitely 100-percent say that it's well worth the wait," Reedus said. "It's large. It's mind-blowing."

The much-talked-about "Walking Dead" season 6 finale, which fans expected would show which of the survivors Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) would kill in his "TWD" debut, failed to deliver on that premise. Instead, the heart-stopping finale cut to black at the climactic moment, leaving fans to ponder for months on which of the characters was the likeliest victim.

While there are plenty of rumors about Negan's supposed victim in the season 6 ender, the show's cast and crew have remained tight-lipped about that particular detail. Nonetheless, even if he couldn't divulge the identity of the season 6 finale casualty, Reedus did hint that the season 7 premiere, which is expected to reveal the long-awaited answer, will be a particularly emotional one.

The actor teased that viewers may, in fact, end up being so distraught during the season 7 premiere that they might just end up venting their frustrations out on their things.

"It will definitely be emotional," Reedus told Entertainment Tonight. "Things will be broken in their homes."

"The thing about the show is it's so personal to us," he added. "There's death of friends and death of each other, and it's kind of hard to talk about, you know?"

In the interview with TVLine, the actor explained that just as viewers get anxious about the character deaths, so do the cast members.

"[W]e take it very personally, because we're in it and living it," he said. "Every time you see us crying on camera, those are real tears. It's a whole day of living that s–t."

"The Walking Dead" season 7 will debut in October.
