Good news awaits for all those who have been waiting for the sequel of the first-person shooter video game "Titanfall." The second game is going to hit store shelves in the fall. But even before it could be available to play, developer Respawn Entertainment has announced that all future downloadable content (DLC) maps and modes will be free.

Entertainment's head of development David Wightman spoke to Games Radar during an EA Play event in London wherein he confirmed that they will be now giving away maps and modes without a cost.

"We'll definitely be supporting 'Titanfall 2' post-launch, and I can confirm all maps and modes we deliver post-launch will be free. We'll be talking more about post-launch plans closer to release so stay tuned for more info," Wightman said.

Aside from that, he also announced that there will be no pay-to-upgrade features as well. After learning from the criticisms they received in the first game, they are now dedicated to creating a better community for their players. "Titanfall" had three paid map packs and this caused a decrease in their player count. So this time around, partly in celebration also of the game's one-year anniversary, all of its DLCs will be free after the release of the sequel.

As for what will be coming along in "Titanfall 2," Polygon detailed that it would be similar to the original in the area where gamers will be playing as a free-running, foot soldier who can suit up with a mechanical Titan to fight other players.

Weapons are not revealed yet but it is said that there will be new six classes of Titans. One mentioned is the Vanguard which is described to be the same with the mid-sized Titans in the first game. A grappling hook has been added into the game, and as noted by Arstechnica, this new tactical ability allows the players to extend jetpack boosts or sail over the top of fighting Titans.

"Titanfall 2" will be released worldwide on Oct. 28 for PC, Xbox One and PS4.
