'Tom Clancy's The Division' Survival DLC update: PS4 version comes out on Dec. 20; patch notes update released

"Tom Clancy's The Division" players have been waiting for the game's upcoming expansion, Survival. Xbox One and PC players are already enjoying the game, leaving the PlayStation 4 (PS4) players wondering when the downloadable content (DLC) will come out for their platform.
Good thing, it was recently announced that "Survival" will be released for their platform on Dec. 20. It is expected that the expansion will provide substantial changes to provide longer hours of gaming experience.
According to the official website of "Tom Clancy's The Division," the Survival Mode offers an extreme experience that allows 24 players to play in a modified Manhattan setting. One game can last for a maximum of two hours due to its session-based format.
"Cold, sick, hungry, stripped of gear, and beset by a brutal snowstorm, you must survive until extracting safely in the Dark Zone. Finding supplies, warm clothes and survival equipment will be vital to your success," the game description reads. "However the environment is not the only danger; other agents and deadly Hunters will prove the biggest challenges to your survival," it continues.
Along with the Survival DLC is a new update that fixes bugs and issues, aside from applying major changes in the game. The game changes include the increase of Maximum Gear Score to 256, level 34 enemy non-playable characters (NPCs), the availability of heroic incursion in Tier 5, among others.
As for loots and rewards, the rewards are modified as players complete the weekly assignments. Particularly, the update added an extra High-End mode inside the weekly assignment cache, and transferred 30 Phoenix card to the same cache.
Weapons are also improved since the reload speed bonus of Swift has been boosted to 25 percent. However, the Provide can no longer be used from World Tier 5 and has also been removed for calibration for Gear Score 256 weapons.
Specific details are available on the game's website. Stay tuned for more updates.
