'Winds of Winter' spoilers, plot news: 'Game of Thrones' has one more book spoiler to air, George R.R. Martin not happy about show spoiling his story?
As long as "Winds of Winter" isn't published, fans of George R.R. Martin continue to have this fear that "Game of Thrones" will spoil some of the biggest and most important twists of the long-awaited sixth volume of "A Song of Ice and Fire."

It started with Hodor and the story behind how he got his name, which will be the subject of many conversations for a while. There will be one more, and "Game of Thrones" co-showrunner David Benioff teased to Entertainment Weekly it is "from the very end."
However, Benioff is adamant that "Winds of Winter" will not be spoiled by "Game of Thrones." He claims that although the two will have similarities, "so much of what we're doing diverges from the books at this point."
"People are going to be very surprised when they read the books after the show. They're quite divergent in so many respects for the remainder of the show," Benioff said.
Spoiler Alert! The article contains details about "Game of Thrones" season 6 episode "The Door."
The Hodor reveal in the previous episode of "Game of Thrones" came from Martin. It certainly blew fans away, but according to a Reddit user who was in a Santa Fe event Martin attended, he reportedly isn't happy with the show revealing the important twists in his novels.
"He said he came up with the [Hodor] name idea in 1991 and seemed depressed that the show got to reveal it before he did. He said he had no one to blame but himself for his slow writing," the source said.
Readers have been waiting for "Winds of Winter" since 2011, when the fifth book "A Dance of Dragons" was published. Martin said that it won't be out early this year and that he's "disappointed" about the delay.
Martin recently quashed rumors about "Winds of Winter" coming out this month. Unfortunately, the book still has no release date.
